Random Things That Are Fabulous
Well in less than two weeks we will be residents of the city of Chicago!! I cannot believe it is almost time to move! But I am so ready!! I even applied for my first Chicago job today!! Wonder what the chances are of landing the first job that I apply for 😉
Either way, bring it on, let’s do this!! We are ready for you Chicago….question is…are you ready for US???
Well, after many stressful days and many sleepless nights, the apartment search has come to an end! We actually picked our place last week, but I didn’t want to get too excited until everything was official. Well today Jill, aka Chicago BFF, called to let us know that everything was approved and the apartment is OURS!! Crazy thing is I feel like I have looked at every available building in Chicago and we are in the very first building we wanted, but just thought we couldn’t get into. But it all came full circle and as of March 1st, we have a beautiful 1 bedroom in a vintage building in the Gold Coast!! Chicago here we come!!
So yeah, this whole apartment search is turning out to be a bit more difficult than I thought. Thankfully I have Jill, she is my new BFF of apartment searching. I get more emails from her daily than I do from Tiger Direct, and if you get those, you know that is a lot of emails! I finally had to tell her yesterday to quit sending me listings that were going to send me into heart failure! The Husband and I almost took the plunge and signed into a lease with what I am sure would be a dream apartment, that is until we got evicted for non-payment!! So we have decided to resist the brights lights of the Gold Coast and go back to our original dream of Lincoln Park (well my dream, The Husband is a fan because it’s closer to Wrigleyville 😉 So it’s time to email Jill and get a whole new set of listings….where we go again…
So the move to Chicago is official!! All the family now know, and we have submitted our notice to end our current lease with Mountain View! Now, I just have to hurry up and find that PERFECT city apartment…
